Introduction
Established
in 1929, Blackhall Cricket Club are members of the North
Yorkshire & South Durham Cricket League.
The Welfare Park Ground has played home to many world class players
over the years such as; Desmond
Haynes (West Indies),
Roger
Harper (West Indies),
Clayton
Lambert (West Indies), Imran
Jan (West Indies) to
name but a few.
In April 2005, Blackhall became the 243rd
cricket club in the UK to be awarded ECB
Clubmark Status. We were the 11th
cricket club in North-East England to achieve this recognition,
and the 1st
cricket club within the District of Easington boundries.
